Overview

Migraine Me is a health data recording application that allows you to log and view statistics about your migraine episodes. The app does NOT analyze, interpret, or provide medical insights about your data. Privacy and data security are our top priorities. This privacy policy explains how Migraine Me handles your sensitive health information.

Data Collection

Minimal data collection with maximum privacy.

Migraine Me does not collect, store, or transmit your personal health data to our servers. Everything you track in Migraine Me stays on your devices and in your private iCloud account. We use RevenueCat for subscription management, which collects anonymous subscription data (see Subscription Management section below).

Your Health Data Storage

iCloud Storage

• All your migraine logs, medication records, symptoms, and settings are stored in your private iCloud account
• This data syncs across your devices using Apple's iCloud infrastructure
• We have no servers and cannot access your iCloud data
• Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple's iCloud security
• Your health information never leaves Apple's ecosystem

Local Storage

• Migraine Me works offline by storing data locally on your device
• Local data syncs to your iCloud when you're connected to the internet
• All local storage is protected by your device's security features
• Data is isolated in Migraine Me's secure app container

Types of Data You Track (All Private)

The following data is stored ONLY in your iCloud and on your device:

• Migraine episodes (date, time, severity, duration)
• Pain location and symptoms
• Medications and dosages
• Food and meal tracking
• Water intake
• Sleep patterns
• Stress levels
• Physical activity/training

Important: None of this data is accessible to us. It remains private to you. This app provides statistical tracking only and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis.

What We Don't Do

• ✓ No Health Data Collection - We do not collect your migraine logs or health information
• ✓ No Analytics on Health Data - We do not track how you use health features
• ✓ No Advertising - Ad-free experience
• ✓ No Third-Party Health Data Sharing - Your health data is never shared with anyone
• ✓ No Data Mining - We do not analyze your migraine patterns or health trends
• ✓ No Data Selling - We do not and will never sell health data
• ✓ No Medical Servers - We don't operate servers that store health information

Third-Party Services

Subscription Management

Migraine Me uses RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect minimal information necessary to process subscriptions:

• Anonymous user IDs (generated by RevenueCat, not linked to your health data)
• Purchase receipts (handled by Apple's App Store)
• Subscription status

Critical: Your health data, migraine logs, and personal information are never shared with RevenueCat or any third party. Only anonymous subscription status is processed.

Apple App Store

When you download Migraine Me from the App Store, Apple may collect information as described in their privacy policy. We have no access to this information.

Permissions

iCloud Access (Required)

• Why: To sync your migraine data across your devices
• What we access: Only the private container allocated to Migraine Me in your iCloud
• Who sees it: Only you. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

No Other Permissions Required

Migraine Me does not request access to:

• Your location
• Your camera or photos
• Your contacts
• Your microphone
• Your calendar
• HealthKit or health data
• Any other sensitive data

Data Security

Your health data security is ensured by:

• Apple's iCloud encryption - All data encrypted in transit and at rest
• iOS sandboxing - Migraine Me can only access its own data container
• No network transmission to third parties - Your health data never leaves Apple's ecosystem
• Device-level encryption - Protected by your device passcode/biometrics
• HIPAA-aligned privacy practices - While Migraine Me is not a medical device, we follow HIPAA-inspired privacy principles

Children's Privacy

Migraine Me is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal health data from children under 13. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use this app. All data remains private in the user's iCloud account.

GDPR Compliance & Your Data Rights

Migraine Me is fully GDPR compliant and provides you with complete control over your personal health data. We respect your rights to access, export, and delete all data associated with your account.

Right to Access

All your data is accessible to you at any time within the app. Your migraine logs, medications, symptoms, and settings are always visible and under your control.

Right to Data Portability (Export)

You can export all your health data at any time:

• How: Settings → Data & Privacy → Export All Data
• Format: ZIP file containing structured JSON/CSV files
• Includes: All migraine episodes, medications, symptoms, food logs, water intake, sleep data, stress levels, and settings
• Organization: Data is organized by type and date for easy review
• Save to: iOS Files app or share via any standard sharing method
• Use case: Take your data to another app, share with your doctor, or keep for records

The exported data is in standard formats that can be used for backup, medical review, or importing into other health applications.

Right to be Forgotten (Delete All Data)

You have the right to permanently delete all your health data at any time:

• How: Settings → Data & Privacy → Remove All Data
• What gets deleted: ALL migraine logs, medications, symptoms, food logs, settings, iCloud synced data, and local device data
• Confirmation process: Multi-step confirmation with option to export before deletion
• Permanence: Deletion is immediate and permanent with NO recovery option
• Safety: We strongly recommend exporting your data before deletion

Multi-Step Deletion Protection

To prevent accidental loss of valuable health data, the deletion process includes:

1. Initial warning screen explaining what will be deleted
2. Optional data export step (strongly recommended)
3. Text confirmation (you must type "DELETE" to proceed)
4. Final confirmation with critical warnings
5. Progress indicator during deletion
6. Completion confirmation

Important: After deletion, all your health data is permanently removed from:

• Your iCloud account (Migraine Me container)
• All devices where Migraine Me is installed
• Local device storage and caches

There is no backup and no way to recover your data after deletion. You can reinstall the app and start fresh at any time.

Data Retention and Deletion

• Your health data: Stored only in your iCloud and on your devices
• Deleting individual entries: Delete entries in the app (with confirmation)
• Deleting all data (GDPR): Use Settings → Data & Privacy → Remove All Data for permanent deletion
• Removing from iCloud: The "Remove All Data" feature deletes all data from iCloud permanently
• We retain: Nothing. After using "Remove All Data," we have no data about you. Anonymous subscription data via RevenueCat is handled separately.

Your Rights

You have full control over your health data with built-in GDPR tools:

• Access: All your data is accessible to you in the app at any time
• Export (Data Portability): Export all your health data in structured format via Settings → Data & Privacy → Export All Data
• Delete (Right to be Forgotten): Permanently delete all your data via Settings → Data & Privacy → Remove All Data
• Modify: Edit any of your entries or settings directly in the app
• Portability: Exported data is in standard formats (JSON/CSV), making it easy to use elsewhere
• Share with healthcare providers: Export and share your migraine data with your doctor

These rights are implemented directly in the app - no need to contact support or wait for manual processing.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will:

1. Update this privacy policy
2. Update the "Last Updated" date
3. Make reasonable efforts to notify users through an app update
4. Request new permissions if required for new features

Our core commitment: your personal health data remains private and under your control.

International Users

Migraine Me is available worldwide. Your data is stored in your iCloud account, which may be stored in Apple data centers in various countries according to Apple's policies. We do not transfer, process, or access your health data in any location.

Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Migraine Me is a statistical tracking tool, NOT a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The app ONLY shows statistics and patterns based on the data you enter. It does NOT provide medical advice, recommendations, or diagnosis. Always consult with qualified healthcare professionals for all medical decisions and advice.
